What I Do

My passion lies in making cool things that bridge the gap between technology and creativity. Over the years I've had the opportunity to collaborate with some very talented teams on interesting and unique projects. I've also cultivated many diverse interests and hobbies, enabling me to explore new and exciting possibilities within the technology industry. With my combination of skills and knowledge, I strive to create innovative products that can captivate users from all walks of life.

Software & AI

Applied AI is where most of my focus is right now. I enjoy taking new models and techniques and putting them to real, practical use, building things that work reliably rather than leaving them as demos. Most of my work is in Python, with a solid grounding in backend systems and data workflows.

Web Development

I like building for the web because it makes ideas immediately accessible, something people can open and use right away. I work across the full stack, from the interface down to the data, with an emphasis on projects that are genuinely cool and interesting to use.

Game Design

Game design has been a long-running passion, and I've contributed to shipped commercial titles including Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 and Guitar Hero iPhone. Shipping games taught me that great products come as much from teamwork and iteration as from creativity, a lesson that still shapes how I build software today.

Beyond Code

Outside of software, I make 3D art and animation in Blender and enjoy writing and telling stories. I'm also a fan of sports, 80s comedy and action movies, and fighting games, Virtua Fighter above all, which probably says something about my appreciation for things with real depth beneath a simple surface.
