Welcome to the Blog

Hi, and thanks for stopping by. I’ve been wanting to get back into writing for a while, and starting a blog feels like a good place to begin. I don’t have a fixed plan or direction. Mostly, I want a place where I can collect my thoughts, share some of the work I’ve been doing, and write a little about my hobbies and interests.

As you might have guessed from looking around the rest of my website, I’m interested in making software and working on creative projects. It’s something I really care about. Over the past few years most of my free time has gone into studying and experimenting with AI. I’ve even gone as far as building a dedicated home workstation for experimenting with open-source models. Having that setup has given me the freedom to run larger experiments, test new ideas quickly, and really dive into the details of how these systems work. It’s been one of the best ways to keep up with the rapid changes in that space. Along the way I’ve built lots of small projects that have helped me understand these tools in new ways. I expect many of those projects, and the lessons they taught me, will eventually find their way here.

As the field keeps changing, and as my role within it continues to evolve, I’ve started to feel that it’s important to start writing things down. Part of that is about holding myself accountable, and part of it is about not letting ideas stay half-formed in my head. Even if what I write turns out to be common knowledge, I still think there’s value in putting it into my own words.

So, welcome to the blog. I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
